Mount Type

Portability
Portability refers to how easy it is to move and set up the telescope. Smaller, lighter telescopes are easier to carry and set up, making them great for travel or quick observing sessions. Larger telescopes can be heavy and bulky, but they often offer better views. If you plan to observe from different locations or want something you can quickly set up, prioritize portability. Accessories include things like eyepieces, finderscopes, and tripods. The quality and variety of accessories can affect your viewing experience. More eyepieces give you different magnification options, while a good finderscope helps you aim the telescope. Some telescopes come with basic accessories, while others require you to buy extras. Think about what you'll need for the kind of observing you want to do, and make sure the telescope you choose either includes those accessories or is compatible with them.
