Magnet Type
The type of magnet used for magnet fishing is usually neodymium, which is a rare-earth magnet known for its strength. This is important because neodymium magnets are much stronger than regular magnets, making them effective for pulling up heavy or deeply buried metal objects. Some magnets are coated to prevent rust and damage, which is helpful since they will be used in water. When choosing, look for neodymium magnets with a protective coating like nickel or epoxy, as these will last longer and perform better in wet environments.
Shape and Design
Magnet fishing magnets come in different shapes, such as single-sided, double-sided, or even 360-degree designs. The shape affects how the magnet grabs onto objects.
